Serving our community for 50 years
Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois is here to support the needs of the members of our community. Over the years, those needs have grown exponentially. We operate programs in DeKalb, Kendall, LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam Counties, IL. At VAC, we aim to ensure the health and wellness of those who need us.
Voluntary Action Center depends on the kindness and generosity within our community. Please support our mission with your time, talents, and financial contributions.
Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the home-bound.
Nutrition programs include lunches for local daycare providers and congregate meals for senior citizens.
TransVAC offers rides for seniors, those with disabilities, and the public, with dial-a-ride services in rural DeKalb County, Sandwich area, and Kendall Area Transit.
